Destin 2006

Desting was great fun. Very relaxing and a much needed vacation (finally) for both of us. While we took many trips this summer, this truly was the "vacation". We were able to sleep late, hit the beach, pool, play golf and a little bit of tennis. all in 2 days! ha. I even managed to do a "little" shopping. So good times were had by all - I helped Kacee pick out some maternity clothes for teaching. That was fun! We got home today and leave friday for Columbus for the infamous Kristie Perkins and Ben Hogue's Wedding! I do believe I cannot wait to get home on Saturday b/c that means NO MORE TRIPS for at least a little while!!!!! I don't think we could afford much more gas. We found out that my sister, Kacee, is indeed pregnant. this will be the 3rd grandchild on our side! yay fun! So anyway! I am posting a few pictures from the other night in Destin. They have a village called "The Wharf at Baytown" and it's like a really clean Bourbon Street. Live...

a little update

it has been a while since we have last "posted".... all is well in dotson land. We have had our nephew, Klaytin, here with us all week. We have done LOTS of things with him - movies, Mississippi Braves game, a day at Geyser Falls Water Park, and it seems as though we have eaten only junkfood this week! We have truly spoiled him rotten! The highlight of this child's week was our Nintendo. yes, the "mardis gras brothers" game was his FAVORITE! so there you go - he was so amazed that I even had this game before I was married. Well Kelly and I will take him back to Zachary today and come home tomorrow and pack up for the beach. YES!!!! FINALLY THE BEACH!!!! In other news.... Our church plant that Kelly is working for, Madison Heights PCA, is having our first "morning worship" this Sunday! Very exciting! For those of you who might not know, Kelly is a Pastoral Intern, the Youth Minister and leads the Mercy and Missions Teams. I am singing with the Worship ...

Kelly and Amy

Kelly and I after 3 weeks of marraige! Kelly and I after 4 months of marraige! Scenerios of what we might be like when we are married after 50 years:

God is SO good!

WOW - the most amazing thing just happened. We owed a local hospital $6200, from when kelly had his emergency surgery to remove his tonsils and uvula. This was due to the horrible insurance that Mega Life sold Kelly through RTS (the seminary). Kelly was paying the same amount for 6 months of coverage as I was and his plan was 20/80 and mine was 80/20. Basically he was screwed. We fought with the insurance company, filed and refiled until they finally said. that's it. So we owed 6200 (of almost 9000). We heard that some hospitals have scholarships or "financial assistance" available. So I called this hospital and she said that it could pay anywhere from nothing to 100% of our bill. So i said bring on the paperwork. So we filled it out and sent it in and began to pray for this situation. Today, curious me, I called the hospital to see what the status of Kelly's account was. The lady said "oh your financial assistance was approved and you have zero balance" I c...
