so this past weekend/week was great. We had a wonderful time with Kelly's family. We drove to Memphis and flew to South Carolina (drove to North Carolina).
Kelly's Uncle Chris got married and so we met his new wife, Mary Anne, who was very expressive! His Aunt and Uncle from Roanoke, Virginia and Katy, TX. were there as well. We stayed at his other Aunts house in Hendersonville, NC in the mountains... ooooh lots of fun!
lots of beer, white russians, beer, good food, and funny funny people! oh yeah and a little bit of beer as well.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time riding through the mountains looking around. We drove up to Chimney Rock (which i was sick once we arrived and I saw where i would actually be climbing/riding an elevator) yeah. that did not happen. my stomach was in KNOTS! but we drove right on back down it -i was sweating horribly at this point. We then parked and walked along the mountainside and looked at the shops and then played put-put. yes. put-put on a mountainside AWKWARDLY FUN!
We had dinner at a great restaurant in downtown Hendersonville where I have fallen in "look" with the pork tenderloin with cooked apples on top!!! YUM.
So our last day we spent a day at The Bitlmore Estate in Asheville, NC. We started early with the tour of the house (all 4 floors plus the basement) and then continued to The Winery for a tour and Wine Tasting - unbelievably awesome -they can read my taste buds! We then had a picnic in the gardens. It was a very relaxing day to spend with my hubby!
Needless to say we crashed hard and fell asleep to the sound of fireworks in the mountains.
Good Times were had.
